May begins with a very sweet and cooperative tone. All of the planets will be moving forward, except Saturn and Pluto, and our lives should feel balanced and productive. We will even have an especially grand event for Mother's Day, a grand trine in earth signs. But, as they say, "what goes up, must come down," and some us may find life beginning to swing downward, with Venus turning retrograde on May 15th and a solar eclipse on May 20th. Get the important stuff done early this month, because you may not have time later.
May will begin with most of us feeling balanced and pleasant. The Full Moon in Scorpio on May 5th, Cinco de Mayo, could ignite our passions. It will be an excellent weekend for parties and intimate conversations, but there could be some delays. Try to stay flexible, and guard against rash behavior.
We may still be dealing with impulsive actions as the week of May 7th begins. Our energy could be jerky, and tempers may be short on Monday and Tuesday, May 7th and 8th. But, things will definitely improve by May 9th with Mercury and Neptune shaking hands, and Mars and Pluto beginning to form one leg of our upcoming grand trine. It could turn out to be a very creative week. We may be ready to clear out some clutter in our lives.
Our grand trine will be in full force by Mother's Day, May 13th. This should boost our confidence, and decisions will be sound. The Sun and Jupiter will also be conjunct for Mother's Day, which will encourage us to get out of our ruts and enjoy life. The grand trine will continue through Monday, May 14th, but we will probably continue to feel it's effects through Thursday, May 17th. We may find that almost anything we attempt will succeed.
Venus will be turning retrograde on Tuesday, May 15th, but she will be at a very positive aspect to Saturn. With the grand trine influence, we may not notice it at all, or we won't care. Venus rules love and money, so there could be some problems with loved ones. We may also encounter some financial delays or blocks, but nothing that we can't handle.
The Sun will enter Gemini just a few hours before the solar eclipse on Sunday, May 20th. Its quite possible that we will begin to feel the eclipse energy on Saturday. With the eclipse on the cusp between Gemini and Taurus, we may find ourselves feeling envious and restless. There could be disturbances, and we may encounter a few fanatics. And, of course, eclipses bring changes, so there could be changes occurring.
Most of the week of May 21st will be a roller coaster ride. We may find it difficult to keep our thoughts straight on Monday, but our mental faculties will return on Tuesday. We may also find that our judgement is poor, or addictions could come to the forefront on Tuesday and Wednesday, May 22nd and 23rd, with the Sun battling with Neptune. Mercury will enter Gemini and join the Sun-Neptune battle on Friday, May 25th, which could sap our energy and encourage us to drink too much. Watch out for drunken drivers on this day.
The weekend of May 26th, Memorial Day weekend, will bring improvements with Mercury and the Sun taking turns dancing with Uranus. We may have some original ideas erupt, and we may also be ready to act on them. The Sun, Mercury, and Uranus should continue to bless us all the way through Memorial Day, Monday, May 28th.
We may find it really difficult to go back to work on Tuesday, May 29th, with the Sun and Pluto creating a struggle between our spirits and our egos. Mercury and Mars will also be fighting, so communications will be touchy. Postpone any heavy conversations until Thursday, May 31st, if you can.
Will life improve in June? Probably not. In fact there is a good chance things will get worse with another eclipse and two outer planetary battles coming to a head. Check back next month to find out more.
