A key principle of Feng Shui is that everything is connected with chi. Your thoughts, feelings, emotions are all influenced by the surrounding you live and work in. A dark, untidy bedroom creates a feeling of depression, fatigue and tiredness. To create and maintain a joyous, loving relationship you need to tidy up your bedroom and surroundings first and make space for the new relationship.
To improve your luck in love firstly you need to identify your power spots for love and romance and then Feng Shui those spots.
Identify your Love Power Spots
The Feng Shui 'ba gua' divides all spaces into 8 sections each of which affects a specific aspect of life. Love and marriage are influenced by the 'Kun gua' or South West sector of your home. Secondary Kun guas are the south west sectors of each room in the house.
To identify your power spots use the following steps.
Use a compass and figure out the room or rooms that are located in the SW direction of your house. Generally if you stand at the entrance to your home, the SW will fall somewhere to the rear and right.
Now, cross of all stairways, narrow hallways, closets, bathrooms and bedrooms occupied by others, off your list. These places don't make good romantic spots (some may beg to differ but we'll go with the larger majority here). If your bedroom, living room, dining room or kitchen or any comfortable, pleasant room falls SW, keep it on the list. These are good Feng Shui Love Power Spots.
Your bedroom is always a great power spot so keep it on the list even if it's not SW. If your bedroom does fall SW this is the strongest relationship power spot in your home.
Now find the relationship power spots in your bedroom. Stand at the entrance and locate the far corner on your right. If this is also the SW, then this is a super love power spot to enhance with Feng Shui. Make a note!
If the two areas in your bedroom (far right and SW) are not the same then compare the two. Which one is brighter, more cheerful, cleaner, and more attractive and has more potential to add Feng Shui objects? A wall where you could hang a picture, a desk to place a photo or bedside table, the fireplace mantel or a bookcase.
Now in the exact same manner find the love power spots in the other rooms on your list. Decide between the SW or the far right corners depending on the scope for Feng Shui enhancements.
By the end of this exercise you should have at least 3 good love power spots. Remember that the strongest power spots will be in your bedroom and those rooms where you spend most of your time.
Identifying the Love Power Spots is just step one. You now need to enhance these areas with Feng Shui objects. Feng Shui objects are very cheap and easy on your pocket, so even with a minimal budget you can buy some. Listed below are some good Feng Shui objects to enhance your Love Power Spots.
Fresh flowers with red or pink blossoms. We don't really need Feng Shui to tell us about this one do we?
A red, pink or white heart shaped box.
Two red silk roses in a pretty vase.
Two red or pink candles set side-by-side. Please note that the number two is important as it denotes a couple. Having just one will have a negative effect on the relationship as one is for solitude and loneliness. Having more than two will gather a crowd.
Imagery, painting or other artwork representing lovers.
Two round or heart shaped red or pink pillows. Square and rectangle pillows are a no-no.
A pink faceted Feng Shui crystal hung over your bed or a power spot.
Imagery or artwork of pairs of mandarin ducks, swans or doves.
The Chinese symbol for 'double' happiness.
Any image or object that is has a strong personal meaning related to love, marriage and happiness especially for you.
There's much more to Feng Shui than just activating your Love Power Spots but this is a great place to start!
