Improving Life - Saturn Trine Neptune - 2012 and 2013

It takes Saturn about 29.5 years to orbit the Sun, and Neptune requires approximately 165 years. Its not often these two giants aspect one another, and their aspects can last nearly a year or more. The last time these 2 were trine was a shocking time for our nation, June 2001 through April 2002.

Saturn represents hard work, will power, and patience. He is the drill sergeant of the zodiac. Neptune is the creative dreamer, and rules things hidden or veiled. Trines are usually very positive aspects, but back in '01 and '02 Neptune was traveling through the sign of Aquarius, the ruler of the unexpected. Last time Neptune kept the rose tinted glasses over our eyes and brought us a surprise none of us ever expected. But, Saturn and Neptune were also there to bring us strength and courage to heal after the tragedy.

10 years later, Neptune is still in the sign of Aquarius, but this time Saturn (with a little help from Jupiter) will be safely escorting Neptune into it's home sign of Pisces. And, that's only the beginning. These 2 planets will be dancing with Jupiter for approximately the next year and a half. Times are tough, and people are beginning to speak up all over the world. Our eyes are wide open, and there will be no surprises this time. While this aspect occurs, we may find, hidden under Neptune's veil, the support and initiative we need to make dreams come true. Neptune is the great humanitarian and strives to help the less fortunate, and Saturn preaches discipline and perseverance. With these two aiding one another, we could make some major philanthropic changes on our planet in a rather short amount of time.

Phase One - December 8, 2011 through March 1, 2012. Saturn and Neptune will not come to a full trine during this first phase, because Saturn will turn retrograde on January 25. But, they will maintain a 2 degree orb (plus or minus 2 degrees) throughout this time. Jupiter, while in retrograde, will backup to enter the entorage on December 17th and will continue to aid the Saturn-Neptune cause through January 20th. Jupiter will add good-luck and optimism to our pursuit of happiness, especially after December 25th when Jupiter turns direct. But, some of our enthusiasm may subdue as January ends, when Saturn turns retrograde and Jupiter pulls away. Neptune will officially enter Pisces on February 4th, 2012, and as he crosses the cusp, we may find a stronger spiritual bond adhering to all of humanity.

Phase Two - September 27, 2012 through October 25, 2012. This trine will be coming at a most needed time, because the world will just be getting over a major fight between Uranus and Pluto. It may have been a destructive summer, and Saturn's and Neptune's return will signal a return to hope and will power. This time Neptune will be escorting Saturn across the cusp from Libra into Scorpio, on October 5th, and displacing their energy from the intellectual Air signs to the emotional Water signs. Saturn, in Scorpio, and Neptune, in Pisces, will hit the peak of this phase on October 11th at 0 degrees, 37 minutes. People, with dominate planets or power points close to the cusps between Aquarius and Pisces, Gemini and Cancer, or Libra and Scorpio, should find this aspect motivational to say the least.

Phase Three - May 12, 2013 through August 18, 2013. We may feel that life is more difficult as Saturn begins moving to aid Neptune once again. Uranus and Pluto will be approaching the climax of an argument, and some may find themselves dealing with tragedy... and/or transformation. Whatever our issues will be at the time, Saturn and Neptune will help to restore confidence and courage. Many will be reaching their goals and even setting new ones. These two will hit the peak of their trine on June 12th at 5 degrees 22 minutes in Pisces and Scorpio. But, it doesn't end there. Jupiter will move up to create the most positive aspect in astrology, a grand trine, with Saturn and Neptune from July 9th through July 27, 2013. Those of us who have been working hard and doing what we believe to be morally correct may find that one (or maybe more) of our wishes will be coming true during these few days. If you have any dominate planets or power points between 1 degree and 9 degrees in Water signs (Cancer, Scorpio, or Pisces), this aspect could bring extra good fortune and opportunities your way.

Hopefully, before this aspect has completely ended, we will find that life has brought a new spiritual connection to all of us and an opportunity to uplift the living conditions for everyone on this planet.
